Kansspelautoriteit, the Dutch Gaming Authority, has granted JOI Gaming a licence for its online casino jacks.nl.
Effective as of November 20, 2021, the licence was granted to JVH gaming & entertainment group’s subsidiary, with the online casino scheduled to launch ‘soon’.
“We are extremely pleased that we can finally launch the site. We have been working on this for more than ten years,” explained Eric Olders, CEO AT JVH gaming & entertainment group. “The Dutch online gaming legislation has taken a long time, but finally it is here. It was a long ride.
“We are enormously proud of our colleagues who have made this possible. We look forward to welcoming our players to our top class online casino.”
Based within the Netherlands, JVH has 85 casinos and is known as Jack’s Casino, and originated in Tilburg, where entrepreneur Jac van Ham founded the company in 1958.
In 2020, cooperations with Kambi for sportsbook and Evolution for live casino were announced, as well as alongside Oryx for its platform.
In addition, jacks.nl will offer live table games (such as roulette and blackjack) in addition to the slot machines and a wide range of sports betting options.
The online product will be marketed under the name Jack’s Casino & Sports, in addition to the land-based casinos that will continue to operate under the name Jack’s Casino. Both brands will operate under the umbrella brand name Jack’s.
