As part of efforts to improve the horse welfare system in the Giza Pyramids area, Brooke Hospital for Animals continues to support the improvement of veterinary services for horses by taking part in identifying and registering horses using electronic microchips, in cooperation with the General Organization for Veterinary Services, the Giza Veterinary Directorate, and the Purebred Horse Cooperative Society.

The project aims to establish a modern veterinary system that meets international standards by creating an accurate database of horses. This will support disease monitoring, help apply biosecurity measures, and create an electronic medical record for each horse, including its health information, vaccination programs, examinations, and treatments. This will improve the quality of health monitoring and care provided to the horses.

Brooke Hospital for Animals’ participation is part of its mission to improve the health and welfare of working animals, support the development of veterinary services for them, and strengthen cooperation with governmental and non-governmental organizations. These efforts contribute to improving the standard of horse care and welfare in the Pyramids area.
