ASWAN, MONOPOLY GAME – EFFECT ON KIDS

Dr. Alaa Soliman came up with a new interactive game for children to raise their awareness about animal welfare in a fun and entertaining way. He used drawings that illustrated both good and bad practices in animal care. Each player received Brooke money coins and the rules were simple: landing on a good practice earned them Brooke coins, while landing on a bad practice cost them coins.

Vet Israa introduced the game to children in East Manshiyya, and the response was wonderful. The kids were excited, engaged, and truly enjoyed playing. The impact became clear as the following: when the children saw a donkey suffering from a saddle wound or an overgrown hoof, they would tell the owner, “You’ll lose 50 Brooke coins.” On the other hand, when they saw a healthy donkey with a proper saddle, they cheered, “You’ll win 100 Brooke coins”

This simple yet creative activity not only entertained the children but also helped them connect animal welfare practices with real-life situations in their community.
