Ezbet Shaaban is an agricultural village located about 27 Kilometers away from Mansoura. Most of the human population work there in agricultural works. The average number of population of working equine animals there is 203 animals. Most of the animals work for agricultural purposes.
The Brooke Mansoura started work in this village since 2022 through establishing Community based animal facility (Pop–Up Clinic).

In order to encourage the animal owners to take care of their animals, the Brooke Mansoura staff held an event of the best horse competition among the equine animals.The competition was held in Monday 11th December 2023 for (13) horses.

They were assessed on the basis of: Body Condition Score, skin and wounds, eyes, nose, hoof and shoeing, harness, Joints, lameness, user handling and signs of fear.

The horses were audited by Dr Mohamed Abdelati (Mansoura Office Manager), Dr Islam Selim, Dr Mohamed Abdel Salam, and Dr Mohamed Salah in the Presence of Dr Hadir El Shahat (a private vet in Kafr Tanbol Al-Jadid village).
